Tour the Pollinator Sanctuary and Learn the Basics of Permaculture
June 30 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
| $10Tour the Pollinator Sanctuary and Learn the Basics of Permaculture.
We’ll kick off the event with a comforting cup of herbal tea a while we discuss the Ethics and Principles of Permaculture.
As we walk through the garden, I will explain the plant choices I made, and how those choices were guided by the Ethics and Principles. You’ll learn about ways to increase biodiversity in your garden, while increasing your harvest. If you shift your focus from planting only for yourself, to planting for a whole non-human community, you will discover that you receive more. As you feed pollinators, so they will feed you. Learn what a tree guild is, and how sustainable this community of cooperating plants can be. You will also learn about soil creation, water harvesting, and planting on contour.
Learn how to make your yard into a lush and lovely refuge for humans and animals alike.
